I'm always thinking about new recipes to try... Especially when looking at a restaurant menu, or watch a cooking show! New dishes and ingredients captivate my attention... Then I'll do a bit of research and start cooking!

Cooking From Scratch
My culinary journey spans thousands of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners prepared from scratch. I specialize in crafting savory meats that delight the palate, preserving the harvest to savor its bounty year-round, and baking the perfect sourdough, which has become a staple in my family's kitchen.
Green-Thumbed Gardener
For the past two decades, I've cultivated organic, chemical-free gardens in my backyard, growing berries and healthy foods for my family and friends. I like to share tips I've found valuable and guidance for successfully growing your own yummy veggies and beautiful flowers.
Raised in the bone dry California Mojave Desert, I've always been drawn to beautiful gardens and the peace of country living. I feel like just being in the garden is healing to the body ad soul!
The Farmhouse
For the last 15 years we've loved living in Idaho, and dreamed of a large acreage. In 2020 we sold our home on 1.5 acres, and moved to a ten acres of alfalfa fields!

I've been a full time homemaker, gardener, and from scratch cook for over 25 years... I love sharing from scratch savory meats, how to preserving, and sourdough recipes that my family loves!
Many of the recipes I share have been passed down for generations, or have been a staple on our kitchen for many years.... And some are my new favorites:)
My mother taught me so many things.... Including a love for growing and preserving a garden!
Everything I share was influenced by her in one way or another, and some of those things are the farmhouse we've built, and the homestead we're developing!
I also love to share those homestead projects in hopes they inspire your own homestead and homemaking journey!
